Originally scheduled to open in March 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic, Salman Toor’s first solo museum exhibition will be presented by the Whitney Museum of American Art. Primarily making oil-on-panel works, Toor creates views of young, queer Brown men living in New York City and South Asia— portraying imaginary versions of himself and his friends. Salman Toor: How Will I Know is part of the Whitney’s emerging artists program.
On November 16th at 6pm EST, Salmon Toor will host a public program via zoom where he will be speaking with artist Chitra Ganesh about the intersections in their artistic practices.
