Other Theatre (formerly known as The Other Theatre Company) has announced its 4th season, running from the fall of 2017 to the spring of 2018.
The season begins with the world premiere of The Making of a Modern Folk Hero by Martín Zimmerman. This adaptation of a graphic novel blends live actors with shadow puppets to tell the story of a politician and a rogue superhero.
Barney the Elf returns for its third year on November 25th. The musical parody of Elf, written by Bryan Renaud, will be presented at the Greenhouse Theatre Center.
Other Ways to Resist is a festival of new plays that explore the concept of being “other.” Directed by Nick Thornton, the production will feature the premieres of plays by a variety of Chicago playwrights.
