Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced its 2017-2018 season. The Chicago-based ensemble theater will present three world premieres and four Chicago premieres seeking to capture “diversity, compassion, and imagination.”
The season includes the Chicago premiere of The Rembrandt, a play written by Jessica Dickey whose story spans centuries and investigates the power of creative expression. The Minutes, written by Steppenwolf ensemble member Tracy Letts, is an incisive political comedy making its world premiere on November 9. BLKS follows four young women of color in New York City while Rajiv Joseph’s Guards at the Taj tells the story of two imperial guards at the Taj Mahal.
