EC Gallery in Solana Beach will be showing the artwork of Chad Smith, legendary drummer for the Chilli Peppers’.Gallery spokesperson says, “Consummate, high-energy performer, Chad Smith, continues to find new and evocative ways to express himself. Inspired by the transformative rhythms of rock, he uses drum skins as some of his canvasses. He physically attacks the canvass with the visceral passion seething from the Chilli Peppers’ music. His paintings are abstract, bright, many suggesting the colors of SoCal beaches, yet deep and penetrating with the emotion in his music. Like Jackson Pollack, Chad Smith, infuses his feelings into his artwork.”
Smith’s paintings, including those on the drum skins,will be available for acquisition.
