Opera Festival of Chicago presents Dante 700, celebrating the 700th anniversary of the death of poet, writer and philosopher Dante Alighieri. Dante 700 features the “impact of Dante and his ‘Divine Comedy’ on opera’s rich history, also featuring operatic greats and hidden gems by the great masters and performed by international artists,” says an Opera Festival of Chicago spokesperson.
