The world is filled with all sorts of people, different political opinions, different religious beliefs, some you agree with, others you don’t. But, it’s important to allow the free exchange of ideas, so you get to know what’s happening in the world, both good and bad. I’m a firm believer in the First Amendment. There’s a lot of stuff being published that I don’t care for, but then I don’t have to read it if I don’t like it. I always figure if what’s written or said doesn’t harm another person, then it’s fair trade. That’s the beauty of the First Amendment. Why burn books? If you want to know what your like-minded writers think, or how the other half thinks, don’t cut yourself off from those writings.
