The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents Nick Cave Retrospective, a career-spanning retrospective on the Chicagoan Nick Cave, an artist known for his projects that “blend community building with art that crosses disciplines, including immersive installations, textural sculptures, crafted fashions, and dynamic videos and performances,” a Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago spokesperson says.

Highlights of the exhibition include never-before-seen works such as a continuation of Cave’s Soundsuits series with the premiere of Soundsuits 9:29, along with the site-specific installation Spinner Forest; comprised of thousands of kinetic spinners that hang in the museum’s two-story atrium and fourth-floor lobby. Leading up to the exhibition, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago releases sneak peeks of new works by Cave in the exhibition and behind-the-scenes glimpses into the artist’s collaborative creative process.
