Thirty years ago, Dwight was an early innovator in creating ballets that represented the values of diversity, equity and inclusion in terms of dance styles, race, gender and body type. Joyce audiences will experience his iconic works including Ave Maria, Growth, Naked Perfume, Mercy, Higher Ground and Star Dust.
Dwight has created over 80 ballets for companies including Complexions, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and New York City Ballet and has worked with high-profile artists like Prince, David Bowie and Lenny Kravitz. Millions of individuals from around the world have experienced his dances that have helped redefined contemporary ballet.
