The 9th annual Greenpoint Film Festival will take place as a socially distanced set of events, both in gatherings and drive-ins. Over the course of 8 days, 8 feature films will be showcased along with 27 short films, accompanied by guest speakers and filmmakers. This includes the short film Surfing the Rustbelt, co-directed by Picture This Post writer Max D’Amato.
Free virtual workshops with filmmakers and festival staff will be livestreamed, featuring discussions about freelance filmmaking and organizing a film festival, among others.
The Greenpoint Film Festival aims to feature otherwise untold stories, with the hope of giving a voice to those heard less frequently in the filmmaking industry.
