Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble will present Women In Response, an evening of interdisciplinary performances and art exhibit featuring the works of female artists. Women In Response takes place Fridays and Saturdays March 9-17, 8pm at Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble’s Auditorium (Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1650 W. Foster Avenue). A preview performance is Wednesday, March 7 at 7:00pm.
Women In Response is an evening of interdisciplinary performances dedicated HERstory. HERstory is history as seen and experienced through the female perspective. Women In Response features the works of Kelly Anderson Dance Theatre, j Lindsay Brown Dance, Erica Mott Productions, Michelle Shafer, and CDE Ensemble member Maggie Robinson with Gavyn Baxa. The Women In Response Art Exhibit, curated by Ana Alles, features the works of female visual artists. Audiences can arrive before the show begins, visit the exhibition and enjoy a drink and light snacks.
